Special thanks to Lacy Able, Business Development Representative for Revity Credit Union for hosting our Gateway CEO students as their first site visit to the Edwardsville location. The grand tour included stops in the Marketing basement that has so many incredibly creative marketing promos - always depending on what audience may be at a particular event, the lobby with soaring ceilings, open teller stations and a wall of history. With Revity celebrating their 85th anniversary last year, it has been a storied community as a credit union beginning in Granite City as part of the Steel Mill and following to 8 branches today.
Lacy always has high energy, and it was matched for our students this year. It was also awesome to have the CEO and President John Merritt as well as Mark D, Growth and Strategy Officer.
Lacy is passionate about educating regarding the difference between Credit Unions and Banks
- Credit unions are member owned financial co-ops
- Profits are share with the owners
- Formed to serve the under banked
- Service centric model to the community
Best marketing tip provided to the students - Always be willing to be adaptable. Feedback is a gift that helps fine tune, while constructive criticism may be really harsh and not shift behaviors. Always be present when you are working with others.
Thank you so much Lacy for sharing with our Gateway CEO students!
