Are you a sports fan? What if you are in marketing? Jack Croghan, professor at Webster University and marketing consultant stopped in to see our Gateway CEO students and shared a unique topic with students that really opened their eyes to look at marketing and opportunity when changes occur. Jack shared on the Name/Image/Likeness marketing that can be considered with college athletes after changes in the past few years to NCAA sports. These changes allow students to be paid as part of sponsorships. Their names are tied to the value they bring to their sports.

Jack spent time sharing on the 4 Ps of Marketing. While essential, this was the first time these details were absorbed by most students. The 4 Ps include Place, Product, Price and Promotion. He shared examples of several athletes with very unique marketing sponsorships.

When asked for his best tip to students - Jack shared that critical thinking is so important. It's ok to be creative and to lean in without being negative.

Thank you Jack for sharing the opportunity for NIL in today's marketing world!!
