As our second semester continues, we had Dallas Amsden stop by to help our students as they put together the pitches for their upcoming Pitch contest next month. Dallas has spent 30 years in digital marketing and messaging, corporate coaching and keynote speaking. He has been instrumental the past few years in how students tailor their pitches to their BEST customer.
- Who is the primary customer? What do they do? What are their spending habits? What pain point do you see? What solution do you have for them?

While we are a few weeks early to our 3 Minute Pitch presentation, students will present their business idea to Bankers this Friday. Their goal is to be able to provide the business name, primary target, what they are solving for and what their finances look like. A few highlights for presenting their business includes:
- As a solution seller, what is the Hero's journey to get to the end game? Within each story, there will be pain, a path and a promise.
- When presenting - you are always looking for the 'lean-in' to capture your audience.
- Who is your one person? Who is actually going to swipe the card for purchase? What is their pain point? Use the words your customer would use to describe a solution to their problem. i.e. The pinterest mom, the sports enthusiast, the proud golf dad that wants to give his sons the best lessons.
- Dallas closed with a challenge to students - find your best customer and INTERVIEW them! What is the biggest problem? What don't you like about current services/products? What would be the most ideal solution? The customer can always guide your best sale.

Thank you so much for coming in during this time period as students are continually developing their business. This information is critical to having powerful pitches and tons of sales! We appreciate you!
