Most barber shops are humming on any given day, except for Mondays. So often closed on that day - but a perfect day to welcome Gateway CEO students. Justin Johnson is owner of the Premier Barbershop and several other businesses that include contracting with larger facilities for maintenance/operations throughout the area.
Justin started out life in North City and faced many challenges with home life and launching successfully as a man. When it came time for Justin to make sincere choices for a better life at just 19 years old, he did just that and today has a beautiful family and strong businesses that continue to grow. Here are some insights Justin had for our students:
- Delayed gratification sometimes means working hard for a few years before you see your success.
- If you are not going in the direction that you want to go, you may have to change your circumstances and leave some people that are dragging you down.
- Making a choice does not necessarily obligate you to do something. Make a decision means that you're willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish the task
- It's not how you start out, it's how you finish.
