Doug Bristow, Director of IT for Microsoft, spent time with students this morning. He shared his journey to get to where he is today. Here are some highlights that are so impactful to our students:
- Focus on your journey and don't plan for a job, but plan for a career.
- Always try to be the person you would want to work with whether you are the supervisor or the employee.
- Look for the gaps and the problems and try to solve them while filling the need.
- Learning never stops. If you're not constantly learning, you're falling behind.
- Iteration means to do something over and over until you perfect it. Be retrospective and figure out why something didn't work and then fix it.
- Say what you're going to do and then do what you say!

Thank you so much Doug for spending this valuable time with our students!
